Ms. Tara Beth Davis currently resides in the Lincoln Park area after growing up in the Southwest suburb of Orland Park. Ms. Davis graduated from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign in 2003 with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and a minor in English and is an alumnus of the Chi Omega Sorority. Ms. Davis received her Juris Doctorate degree from The John Marshall Law School in 2006 and also studied through the American University in London, Paris, Brussels and Geneva.
While at The John Marshall Law School, Ms. Davis competed in two Moot Court Competitions. At the Appellate Advocacy Moot Court Competition, Ms. Davis and her team placed as Quarterfinalists. At the Jessup International Moot Court Competition, Ms. Davis and her team placed as Semi-Finalists. Ms. Davis was also a second place finalist in the annual Client Counseling Competition.
Ms. Davis started working for Holman and Stefanowicz in 2005 as a Law Clerk and is currently an Associate with the firm, concentrating her practice on general litigation. Ms. Davis has worked on a range of cases, from employment discrimination lawsuits to professional malpractice lawsuits. She is involved in all aspects of litigation work, including research, drafting of the initial complaints, issuing discovery, participating in settlement negotiations, and litigating cases. Ms. Davis has been involved in arbitrations, trials, and appeals at the State and Federal levels.
Ms. Davis is an active member in the American Bar Association, Illinois State Bar Association, Chicago Young Lawyers Section of the Chicago Bar Association, and the American Justice Association.
Ms. Davis is licensed to practice law in the State of Illinois and the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois. |
